AMA DEUS - THE SHAMANS ANCIENT HEALING SYSTEM
THE LEGEND: The legend tells us that about 6000 years ago, the Guarani Indians from the Brazilian tropical woods were visited by giants, that they called "high beings". Those visitors coming from the stars, landed with enormous vessels and during their stay they went for long walks with the natives and taught them about healing art. Centuries after, around 1700 AD, when the Christian missionaries arrived in the Brazilian jungle, the natives have incorporated the Christian doctrine, made them an integrated part of their healing culture, Ama Deus becoming then the new name of those ancient teachings. WHAT DOES AMA DEUS MEAN? Ama Deus is an expression of Latin origin, meaning "Love God". It has even become a given name (Amadeus - the one who loves God - being one of Mozart's given names). This system's name came through the Portuguese channel, since this is the main language in Brazil, although the notable differences that the linguistic evolution has produced against its basic European variant. HISTORY: Ama Deus has arrived for the first time in the United States in 1998., when the famous Brazilian healer Alberto Aguas held his first informing and training workshops. Then, the system has spread in Canada and Europe. Some even say that during Alberto's life the descendants of those Indians were visited again by their starry teachers. Alberto Aguas came from a family of Brazilian doctors that was responsible for the Guarani tribe's health, when necessary, although they had their own healers - the shamans. The Aguas family come to know those well, therefore a mutual long lasting respect was developed between the doctors family and shamans. The shamans have revealed some of their secrets and Alberto Aguas was the depositary of all this knowledge and ways of healing, using all that he was gifted during his entire life. Since the Guarani were prepared for years in this healing art, it seems that only a slight part of their teachings are to be found in this system. Children were taught stating their early age of 6 to perform psychic surgery. By entering a trance state they felt how God's energy was growing inside their being and then they become capable to open the chest of a person just with the fingers, to undergo the operation (without any scalpel or similar tool) and then to close back the patient's chest, smoothly and gently. When grownup, only those who felt a strong calling for a healer career were continuing to practice psychic surgery. Alberto formerly said that only once he was asked and guided to perform this sacred technique to a friend and he was amazed himself that, after all those years he had not the occasion to use this instrument learnt in childhood, the operation went on perfect. WHAT IS AMA DEUS? Ama Deus might be described as an energetic shaman healing system that uses God's love and a series of symbols, as energy vehicles. The symbols are multidimensional as nature, they don't have a predefined name, they don't have a certain color, but they are designed for more specialized actions than those used in Reiki. Most of the techniques are visualized with the third eye, the mind's one, but the work can be done with the hands also. The system is based on the passing of energy through an affective channel created between man and divinity, an opened gate for the divine love, that specifically works in us through the heart chakra. This channel is activated with a specific mantra, spelled for three times, sustained by a breathing technique combined with a powerful visualization. The basic technique is extremely simple, it can be learnt in just one day, but it takes a long practice to achieve levels that for some of us might seem miracles. THE SYSTEM'S GOAL: All real healing traditions have as final goal the creation of a certain state of being in which man unites and becomes one with Divinity.
